Study permit Extension

The expiry date on the study permit is the date you must stop studying and leave Canada. The expiry date is in the top right corner of your study permit. International students can get study permit extensions if they are still studying or need valid study permit for the application of
postgraduate work permit if they complied with all the conditions of previous study permit.

Students should apply for an extension at least 30 days before the original study permit expires.

In most cases, once they have submitted application for renewal of study permit, they can stay in Canada as a student on implied status until a decision is made on extension application.

If a study permit has expired already, international students may apply for restoration of their status. They must apply application within 90 days of losing their status. You can contact our team and we can give you genuine advice on further process, so you don’t any issues for future
applications.

Note: Study permit will expire on the date printed on study permit or 90 days after the day you complete your studies, whichever comes first.
